Ford Infocenter
Marking the one-year anniversary of Ford’s acquisition of Michigan Central Station, the Ford Infocenter was opened as a destination to facilitate ongoing engagement with the community, a critical partner in Ford’s vision for the future, by providing up to date information on development plans, mobility pilot programs, community initiates and innovation projects. Ford has a longstanding history of investing in Detroit and it’s local communities, so not only did this venue become a place to gather updates, but a place to submit questions, suggestions and community concerns.
In addition to the new information center, Ford’s Corktown community engagement efforts included: public meetings, events and a neighborhood-focused printed newsletter. The space also doubled as a space to honor local area artists, with the exterior windows will becoming a revolving canvas for artists to showcase their art throughout the year.
